Social Studies: First Peoples

Resources for Social Studies projects.

First Peoples

There are a large number of First Peoples across Canada. Even in British Columbia there are many different First Peoples with a variety of cultures and history. You cannot look at First Peoples as one group with shared culture and history except in a very general sense such as you might say European culture and history. You can also find many books relating to First Peoples. Look for the symbol, search in the catalogue for "First Peoples, First Nations, Aboriginal Peoples or Indigenous Peoples" or look in the 970s and 971s section.
