Knowing whether information is fake or real requires KNOWLEDGE about the topic and about the source of the information. To help you fact check information, you can use reliable, recognized fact-checking sites.

Snopes Fact Check
Snopes is the oldest and largest fact-checking site on the Internet. It is widely regarded by as one of the essential resources for research on rumours, misinformaton and disinformation.
Media Bias / Fact Check
Don’t be fooled by Fake News sources. Check the bias and the factual reporting reliability of a large number of sources. Also has an excellent search tool that only shows results from factual news sources. The most comprehensive media evaluation resource on the internet.
Google's Reverse Image Search

FactsCan
FactsCan is an independent and nonpartisan fact-checker on Canadian federal politics.
FactCheck.org and SciCheck
